Well, if this word doesn’t sound familiar to you, you are right. It was first coined by my mother many years ago when she was trying to describe a person she had met with great style and didn’t mind telling others what looks good, tastes good, and got away with saying most anything to anyone with charm, wit, and bluntness.

Her description of a Fenucci Manulli stayed with me for a long time. I wondered if I would ever meet a real Fenucci Manulli.  It happened some 15 years ago in a most unlikely set of circumstances. I met Jeff Ames, an entertainment specialist who turned out to be one of the best DJ’s in town, but so much more.

Fortunately, I had the opportunity to work with him for almost 15 years and he represented the best of the best in making sure that everyone had a great time at the wedding. He was very opinionated about how a reception should run. He was instinctual about how he did things on the event day. He couldn’t tell you ahead of time what he was going to play during the evening other than the few planned special songs for the ceremony, introductions, first dance etc.

You just trusted his judgment and the dance floor was packed all evening long. He had great style and confidence. He was truly a Fenucci Manulli. Even though  Jeff is no longer with us, I wanted to dedicate this page to his memory and the class with which he lived and how he worked with his clients.

From time to time I will be letting you know about other Fenucci Manulli’s I meet and comment on the wedding Industry  as a whole through the eyes of  a Fenucci Manulli.

    Chow, for now
